Arbury unveils revamp to drive growth and strengthen market position


Arbury Motor Group is undergoing a major transformation initiative marking a new phase of strategic growth and innovation.

The new organisational structure, effective from October, will realign key roles and introduces new management positions to enhance efficiency and support growth.

Under the initiative, Scott Stenning, director, will become director for the Stellantis, Fiat, Abarth, and Peugeot brands, overseeing sales and service.

Angus Wiseman, director, will assume the role of brand director for Cupra, Seat, Nissan, and Škoda, overseeing sales and service. Director Garry Beardmore will take on the role of aftersales director.

To support these leadership shifts, Arbury is introducing brand operations managers to oversee essential tasks such as stock management, manufacturer training, recruitment, and customer relations.

Managing director Ben Archer said: “This is an exciting development for everyone at Arbury. Our group transformation will create a structure capable of meeting the demands of the modern motor industry. It will improve efficiency, reinforce our culture, and support future growth.”

The franchised dealer, part of the Cathedral Motor Company, said it is enjoying a strong 2024, with a 29% increase in new car sales and a 26% rise in used car sales, alongside significant improvements in customer service scores and aftersales performance.

With over 300 employees across the West Midlands, the business said the transformation aims to develop talent, streamline operations, and future-proof the business.

“Over our 24-year history, we’ve built a loyal customer base and strong internal culture,” Archer added. “Launching this new structure allows us to position ourselves for long-term success.”

In addition to the structural changes, Arbury is modernizing its team uniform, moving towards a more comfortable and contemporary look branded as #TeamArbury. This change is currently being trialled at one location and will roll out group-wide in 2025.

“This transformation represents a new era of growth,” Archer said. “We’re excited to equip our team with the skills needed to lead the industry into the future.”
