Dealer Auction’s latest Retail Margin Monitor for July highlights standout performances among high-profit models, with the Land Rover Discovery Sport leading the pack.
Not only did it secure the top spot for profit again with an impressive average retail margin of £3,525, but it also sold faster than ever, averaging just 26 days on the market.
This is eight days quicker than its average for the first half of 2024 and close to the record pace set by the Mazda CX-5 in May 2023.
Dealer Auction’s Marketplace Director, Kieran TeeBoon, noted: “While the Discovery Sport is consistently a top earner, it hasn’t historically been the fastest seller. July’s results are remarkable – it’s now the top profit-maker and the quickest seller in the top 10. Dealers have a powerful combination here.”
Other notable performers in July included the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which reached its highest-ever margin of £3,000, coming in third behind the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque (£3,450). The Land Rover Freelander 2 also made a return to the chart, marking a strong month for the Land Rover brand.
